My First HTML Page

My web dev origins

Actually, this isn't my first HTML page. I have made many HTML projects in the past... back in high school (around 2021-2022). Our Computer Science teacher, Mr. Pecunia, introduced us to the beauty of this programming language, along with CSS and JavaScript, by making us work on every assignment inside a website named CodePen. Funny how we made websites inside a website, lol. (I have said website too many times already, haven't I?)

However, many of my classmates, including me, took this for granted, meaning that back then the only thing we cared about was getting an easy A and play unblocked games on our borrowed ThinkPads after every in-class assignment, so as you can guess I just copied and pasted small parts from existing CodePen projects (do not plagiarize, kids!!), barely knowing what the hell I was doing with the HTML and CSS parts, and more importantly, without understanding any crap about JavaScript. Luckily, most of the time JS wasn't even required. The reason why our teacher didn't care about the blatant mass-plagiarism remains a mystery, even today.

I stopped taking the class in 2023 the moment I went up to 11th grade, and I have forgotten about web developing altogether ever since. Fast-forward to mid-May 2026, I have rediscovered HTML as an online friend of mine showed me a website he made from scratch, which was pretty bare-bones, but it was enough to inspire me into learning HTML and CSS once again, and finally realized how fun web developing can be!! (KUDOS to you, Googenlagen.) As you can see, my website isn't like the second coming of Christ, but it works, and this time it's made entirely by me, with the help of some YouTube tutorials and Google searches, therefore that's all what matters. I wish I have taken HTML and CSS more seriously back then, that way I would've been a pro by today!! But it's alright, because after all it's better late than never.

It's crazy how much I've learned in a few days. I still have SO much to practice on HTML, CSS and especially JavaScript though, but hopefully I'll be able to make a fully functional website by 2027.

Down there you'll see some testing. No need to mind unless you're a very curious fellow :)
